As a credentialed member of the media, I have covered NFL draft events, live games and have interviewed star athletes around the league. My contacts within the NFL, players and agents included, enables me to understand full well the business side of the sport. I am a former radio show host, which also gave me the experience necessary to look further into all aspects of the NFL. One of the most underrated players in the game, Tony Romo is coming off a 2014 campaign that saw him lead the NFL with a 69.9 percent completion rate and 113.2 quarterback rating while throwing 34 touchdowns compared to nine interceptions. He’s joined by one of the top receivers in the game in the form of the enigmatic Dez Bryant, who just recently inked a huge contract extension. The 26 year old receiver has put up a minimum of 1,200 yards and 12 touchdowns in each of the past three seasons.
Flush with talent at the skill positions, young receivers Terrance Williams and Devin Street are looking to make a name for themselves behind Bryant. For his part, Williams has put up nearly 1,400 yards and 13 scores in his first two NFL seasons. Though, it’s going to be Jason Witten that will continue to act as one of Romo’s favorite targets. Despite coming off his worst statistical campaign since his rookie year back in 2003, the
future Hall of Fame tight end still has what it takes to help Bryant out in the passing game.

The biggest detriment to Dallas’ chances of earning its first Super Bowl title in 20 years has to be the secondary. Both Morris Claiborne and Brandon Carr have struggled a great deal at cornerback. Wilcox and Barry Church was among the worst in the NFL last year. They are going to have to pick it up big time, especially in coverage.
And while Dallas did add Byron Jones in the first round of the 2015 NFL draft, it’s unrealistic to expect him to come in and solve the issues here. After all, this is a defense that ranked 26th against the pass last season.
Outscoring teams in the regular season is one thing, leaving yourself vulnerable to the Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson’s of the world in January is a completely different thing.
